These Big Soft Sugar Cookies are fast and easy (no chilling!) and have a tender texture. Top them with a big swirl of vanilla frosting!
Mix the dry ingredients: combine the flour, baking soda, and salt, and whisk together.
Combine the butter and sugar in the bowl of a mixer, and mix for 2 minutes until light and fluffy.
Add an egg, vanilla, sour cream, and milk to the bowl, and mix until combined.
With the mixer running on low, slowly add the dry ingredients until everything is mixed together.
Use big scoop to scoop 1/4-cup balls of cookie dough onto baking sheets. Bake and cool completely.
While the cookies cool, make the frosting. Beat butter until light, then add salt, flavoring, and a bit of milk.
Add the powdered sugar, a bit at a time, and mix until smooth and creamy.
Top each cookie with a big swirl of frosting, and finish with some beautiful sprinkles.
