This pumpkin roll will be the star of your holiday table! Here's how to make a moist, delicious pumpkin cake with a beautiful fall leaf design.

Butter Eggs Powdered sugar Granulated sugar Brown sugar All-purpose flour Baking soda Baking powder Pumpkin pie spice Salt Pumpkin puree Vanilla extract Milk Cream Cheese

Ingredients

Combine butter, egg whites, powdered sugar, and flour to make a thick batter.

Divide batter into 4 portions. Add gel food coloring to make 4 fall colors.

Place parchment paper over a pattern, and trace the outline with the batter. Freeze to set.

Complete your pattern design and freeze again to set. 

Meanwhile, mix together ingredients for the pumpkin cake batter. 

Pour the pumpkin cake batter over the pattern and bake for 16-18 minutes.

As soon as the cake is done, remove it from the pan and peel off the parchment. 

Sprinkle with powdered sugar, flip over, and use a tea towel to roll the cake.

Once cool, carefully unroll the cake and spread cream cheese frosting on top.

Gently roll the cake over itself (this time without the towel). 

Brush the cake with simple syrup or milk to remove the excess powdered sugar. Chill well.
