BIRD'S NEST CAKE

You will LOVE this ultra-chocolatey nest cake! It's baked in a metal bowl (no special cake pan required!) and topped with your favorite Easter candies. 

Place parchment strips in the center of a metal bowl so they overlap to cover the sides of the bowl. Spray well with cooking spray.

Pour chocolate cake batter into the bowl and cook at 350 F for 60-70 minutes. 

Once it is completely cool, cut the cake into 3 layers using a long serrated knife. 

Spread a thick layer of frosting between each layer of cake. Then cover the sides of the cake with a thin layer of frosting. 

Starting at the top of the cake, use a grass piping tip and pipe frosting around the sides of the cake.

Flip the cake upside down, scrape a shallow hole in the top. Spread a thin layer of frosting over it and pipe around the top edges.

Fill the nest cake with edible grass, chocolate eggs and other Easter candy.
