POT OF GOLD CAKE CUPS

This is the perfect St. Patrick's Day dessert - mini trifles filled with cake cubes and frosting, topped with cute buttercream rainbows! 

Pipe stripes of rainbow frosting onto a sheet of plastic wrap, then roll it up like a burrito.

Snip off one of the plastic wrap ends, then insert the frosting into a piping bag with a large round tip. Stick a piece of parchment on a flower nail.

Squeeze the piping bag while you slowly turn the flower nail, creating a rainbow shape on the parchment. Freeze the rainbows completely. 

Cut baked and cooled cake into small cubes.

Stack layers of cake cubes and buttercream into small candy kettles.

Pipe frosting clouds on the sides of the kettle. Carefully remove the frozen buttercream rainbow from the parchment.

Gently press the rainbow into the top of the cake cups. Finally, pile gold sprinkles in the center to complete the look!
