These Stars and Stripes Sugar Cookies are perfect for the 4th of July! Learn all the tips and tricks to make these festive cookies.

Divide and color sugar cookie dough into 3 parts. Roll out each color separately.

Trim the red and blue dough into small rectangles. Chill well, then cut each into thin strips.

Arrange the strips of red and blue dough into a large rectangle, alternating colors.

Gently roll over the top of the dough to adhere the strips. Chill, then cut out circles using a cookie cutter.

Continue cutting circles in the plain dough. Roll cookie edges in sprinkles and cut stars in the center.

Press plain stars into the center of striped cookies, and striped stars into the the center of plain cookies. Bake!
